in my 80 gallon i have 2 heaters, i have an old azs heater that's like 8 or 9 years old now, that works but not like my new heater.

i have that one at 34 degrees since it barely puts out any heat
but my new heater, what would be ideal for my barred?
28 on the new heater?
34 on the old one?

let me know, cause i don't wanna be harming him son.

I don't go off the heaters thermostat. I keep a thermometer in the tank and adjust the heater to suit its measurements. More accurate as heaters will vary by a few degrees from new and can malfunction anytime. As for running 2 heaters in one tank. I usually have one set a little lower so it only comes on when the first is having trouble keeping the tank warm.

one of them goes to 34, and the other goes to 30.

both the same heater, ones just older.
crap aquaclear heaters.
