Temp of your aquarium

There are pros and cons to keeping a tank warmer...it leads to a faster metabolism and thus a faster grow/reproduction rate. However because it speeds up their metabolism, it also shortens their overall lifespan. You decide what is more important for your fish.

I do not know how much a higher temp will shorten their lifespan, I think other things are killing them more than temp (like less than perfect nutrition over their whole life). One major issue to consider is the extra waste. With a higher metabolism comes faster waste production. If you are keeping the water quality good enough that could change if you bump the temp without increasing the water change schedule.

What is the temp now?
What were you thinking of going to?

the temp in the tank is close to 90 degrees and had noticed some color change in fish have usually keep about 80-85 but noticed heater had malfuntion and water quality has not changed much but with the aggressive water changes i do i wouldnt expect them to i do 50% two or three times a week dependin on my work schedule

Your tank is at 90?! Holy Cow!! Why?

I actually was able to unplug all my heaters because all my tanks are in the high 70's right now.

What do you keep it at normally?

That is a big range, that is as accurate as your thermometer/heater goes?
I wouldn't go over about 82F unless it is a discus tank.
