Does anyone know if this affects common (or uncommon) aquarium fish as it does with reptiles. I didn't see too much online about it, but i did find a few research articles that mentioned it and one in particular mentioned in 6 our of 14 genera tested, temperature was a factor.

South American dwarf cichlids belonging to the Apistogramma genus, and cockatoo dwarf cichlid (A. cacatuoides) were two examples.

Has anyone noticed this when breeding your fish in the aquarium and what species were affected?

Live bearers seem to give of more females than males in ponds and cold water. I dont know if there is a link but its what ive seen over the years. Just sharing i might be waaaay off.

if that were true, it would be better to keep them in colder water if you wanted to breed them as feeders to get more females.
