Hey guys,

I just bought some festae fry, they are about 1-2". I've read somewhere that increased temperature increases fry growth rate (along with other things such as water changes, food, etc). I was wondering if you guys have found this to be true. I plan to be keeping the temperature about 80 F.

Thanks.

with my festae fry i keep them at about 82 but they are smaller than yours (only about .5in) and i feed them 3 times and as they are only in a 20g long i do a 50% wc every 2 days and they still dont grow as fast as they did when they were in the 265g tank that their parents were in.....

With about any fish the higher the temp the higher the metabolism. You can feed heavy and do huge h20 changes to keep up with waste load. They will usually grow faster.
