Someone made mention of a temperature valve that mixed hot and cold water and delivered water at a consistent 80 degrees. There are installed directly onto the water lines for the house.

Anyone have any idea the name of these or where to find them??

That was me. The one I used was "Watts L1170-UT M2 Threaded Lo-Temp Mixing Valve". They run about $85. It works but I'm not satisfied with it. I have it cranked all the way over to cold to get the water at 82 deg. It's suppose to go as low as 60 deg. It does work so I won't be replacing it. It's possible the one sent to me wasn't a Lo-Temp. The standard valve lower temp level is around 85 deg. I have the hot water going to the valve cranked down to limit the supply to the valve, it has to have some or it wont opereate. Cold weather may change the way it functions too. I've been using it for almost 3 months now, all hot weather.

I installed it to the washing machine hookups with threaded wye connectors with separate hoses running to the washing machine and to the valve. It's an easy work around if you're like me and have copper plumbling and don't trust your copper plumbing skills.

Goggle Mixing Valves.

You might be better googling for[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] "thermostatic mixing valves" thats what you effectively want.

They are used in showers & Care homes, normally as Taps (Faucetts???), so as not scald the residents. They should have a Max setting, don`t know if they are all adjustable.
