What temperature are you keeping your Dats at?

My tank is about 77f.

I have noticed if the temperature is dropped slightly then the Dats show more stable colour.

What are your experiences?

I've only had mine about a week, so it's hard for me to tell if they get dark from me entering the room or from other sources. But, I have seen them 100% stable from time to time also when I peek at the tank.

I'm running my set-up at about 78f. I orginally had it set to about 82f but turned it down when I added the dats. These are the first dats I've ever owned though, so we'll have to wait and see I guess.

i have kept datnoids in a range of temps from around 76-86 depending on time of year and not had any issues.
i just upped one tank to 82 from 78 to treat another fish and both danoids an IT and ST did not look any different.

i had mine at about 78 when i first added my dat. i bumped it up a bit to 80 and he seems to be doing just fine as well as my other fish

83F. mostly because my fly river turtle likes the warm water. But warm water has benefits to fish also.

Thank you for your replys.

Seems everyone keeps their Dats at slightly higher temperatures than my tank.

I might raise the temp a little and see if there is any changes in colour and mood.

83.7 F
