I usually keep my tank around 83deg. I bumped it up to 85 by accident Friday. This weekend I noticed my fish were very active and ate a lot better. Will it be ok to keep the temp at 85. I have 2 RT Payara ,2 Goliath Tiger Fish.

High temperature will increase your fish metabolism, and aggressor. Your fish will be more acitve, eat more, and fight more... High temperature also deplete dissolved oxygen, so make sure provide plenty of oxygen.

Sure you can keep it at 85. They are probably more active because the increased temp probably upped there metabolism.

I have 2 power heads and a fluval 405 in my 280 tank.
