I am just wondering about using tempered glass for a front pane of a DIY aquarium.

i am asking because i noticed a pane that is 87.5" x 35.5" of 1" tempered glass being sold near me for 100$. the ad say it has no scratches i am wondering because i'm not sure when i'll find something this size this cheep.

Now i have not seen it i have email to take a look at it but i would like to now what everyone else thinks about maybe using this for a new build?

That is a smoking killer deal! Just make sure it is not laminated glass. Use it for the front glass of a custom tank!

hey thanks, ya thats how i'm looking at it. not sure when i would find something this size this cheep and i am going to be starting a new build at some point here.

i'm going to go view it tonight not sure how i would tell if it laminated, i guess just look to see layers.
really hope that this will work

I was let down not as advertised
i called and the lady said it was solid and heavy but it was two 1/4" pieces and hollow in the middle.
