Tempered glass?

I'm going to try my hand at making a sump, just a small one. A 10 gallon one for starters. I'm going to use an extra 10 gallon for the baffles. Like take it apart and cut it into what shape I need. Is there any tempered glass on a plain ole 10 gallon tank usually.

Well thanks Zenzzo, I guess noone else knew the answer.

I took it all apart today.The silicone was easy to get off and so was the top trim. The bottom trim was hell though. I got three usefull peices out of it,lol and none of it shattered, it broke but didn't shatter,lol. So it wasn't tempered glass after all. Now to get one of them glass cutter thingies.

You're welcome...as far as a glass cutterr goes get an oil-filled one, they scribe the best...
remember to just make one single pass, just hard enough to scribe the glass, the softer you go the better...

spend a few bucks on a good one and you'll go through less glass that way...
