So I just went and picked up my new 75 gallon tank, and it wasnt until I got home that I realized it has a sticker that says "tempered glass, do not drill" Ive heard alot about people saying that tempered glass breaks easily and things like that, is there anything I need to make sure I do to keep that from happening? I'm waiting to set it up until I know exactly what I got myself into

Just don't drill it. Pretty sure most glass tanks you buy are tempered, at least pretty sure mine all are.

It's just like normal glass from a practical standpoint, only stronger and I think as such more brittle (so you can't drill it.)

I'm no expert but I don't think you gotta worry.

Its a lot less likely to break then normal glass. Just don't try to cut or drill and you are fine. Manufacturers can use thinner / lighter glass is the purpose of it.

Tempered is much better. Just don't drill it like everyone else said. Tempered glass is more dense and under pressure by its nature, so when you try to drill it, it will pop, and the whole pane may explode into little pieces. Unless of course you're a professional and have the equipment for it, then it can be cut and drilled just fine. When we cut it at work, it's only a shallow scoring of the glass and a hammer tap and the scored area pops out, but it's much more violent than plate glass, which can be drilled and cut all the way through. Sorry if that doesn't make sense you kinda have to experience it to get it.
