Went out with my dad, as he's in the country and I've no job, why not.
One goal this year is to beat my PB tench which stands at 4.5lbs.
Fished at 7 foot, six inches over depth, strawberry pellet over a bed of ground bait and feed pellet, I know this place like the back of my hand, it comes down to patience most times, I know the method you just have to trust it
First fish 3lbs 8oz:

Nothing for a few hours then, male 4lbs 2oz:

Nothing for many hours and my Dad(who'd been catching small roach and perch all day on maggot) said switch to maggot, I was bored so did, double red maggot then the float went up, I struck and I knew i was in to something bigger. It would be too much of a fairy tail to cheat at this point, tipped the scales at exactly 4.5lbs:

I can't be gutted about it but so close.....
