Hopefully everyone had a good 4th of July! The big news here this week is that we are now carrying Tenecor Acrylic Aquariums. They are a top of the line manufacturer with much expirence in designing and building all kinds of aquariums. Not only do they build excellent tanks, but also build stands, canopies, and filtration systems.
Tenecor's tanks can be entirely customized or you can order a standard tank with standard options. There are several filtration options. For those desiring a built in system, Tenecor offers their Simplicity Plus filter system that is built into the back of tank. This system is self contained and great for freshwater or saltwater fish-only systems. For those planning a reef tank or desiring greater filtration, choose the Marine Ready system. Marine Ready systems come complete with a wet/dry filter system suitable for reef systems. If you prefer to build your own system, you can choose from the standard Show aquarium that has cut outs for hang on tank filters, or the Show Aquarium with Pre Filter, which is set up to handle a wet/dry filter system (not included).
Stands can be built of acrylic or wood. Acrylic comes in black and is available for the all but the very large tanks. Wood stands can be oak, maple, or knotty alder, stained in your choice of a large variety of stain colors, or they can be painted wood (Tenetex/Unitex). The Tenetex finish is moisture resistant and durable. Tenecor also offers a Fauxstone stand to fit southwest style decors.
