terracotta pot question

I'm going to buy some terracotta pots for my fish tank i was just wondering if i need to pre-soak them or boil them in water for sterilization or anything like that. Never used them before just want to be sure before i do anything.

I would say a good rinse in water to clean away any dirt and/or dust and it should be good to go.

I just rinse mine off with some cold water to clean any dirt off anf in they go.

rinse, rinse, rinse . . . as long as they are clean, they are safe to use
