In their beardie enclosure.... I figure its big enough that he cant really eat it and it will gove him something to burrow in? It looks pretty good.uploadfromtaptalk1356733039385.jpg
This is at petco for buy 2 get one free and i think it doesnt look half bad so if anyone could give opinions on safety or anything like that.... Thanks

Great idea! Throw your desert animal into a rainforest enclosure.

Don't use moss. It holds too much humidity. Beardies should not even have a water bowl in with them- Just soak them for 10-15 minutes once a week.

Also the moss will break down quickly and never really looks nice.

Beardies will probably eat it! I would stay away!

I didnt mean as a sumstrate.... I ment as more of a decoration or somethimg for him to mess with. And no they dont necisaarily need a water bowl but one doesnt hyrt... The humidity helps them shed and i have a vent fan on the top of mine so most of the humidity gets sucked out. uploadfromtaptalk1356760982887.jpg
And i didnt really think about it breaking down but i surly didnt think they would eat it since its decent sized but from all the negativity im jus gonna stay away... Although whoever it was that was being sarcastic about the rain forest or whatever.... No need to be a dick about it. And beaeded deagons arent just a desert animal. They go in and out of the desert and forested parts of australia. Much more to thier ecosystem then most think or seem to know.

Actually thinking about where they've from, I like it! Too many people just go by caresheets, but it's much better to listen to your animal, not a so-called expert.

I have a friend in NSW who has wild beardies in her backyard. She has sent multiple pics of her backyard with the beardies and the only things you see are sand, rocks and a few dead dried up logs and small dry grass patches- no moss, no live plants. I wouldn't try putting something in there they would never see in the wild.
