Picked up this new gold nugget at an lfs recently. He's absolutely perfect, butnin traditional pleco fashion immediately claimed the most out of the way spot in the whole tank- the corner of the tank in the corner of the room- and hasn't been (easily) seen since lol
This one was really exceptional. Out of half a dozen in the tank, he was by far and away the nicest. Indeed, I've rarely seen ones with dorsal and caudal strips this nice in pics on the internet.
The spots stay the same size. This has the effect of the fish appearing to have a larger quantity of smaller spots as it grows. I'm not sure if it'll hold on to the fin stripes. Most don't have them when they're big, but then again, most don't have them this nice when they're small, either.
