Bought a 4" silver aro, a week ago and one more later from another FS, same size. The 1st sized up the 2nd and started to slowly chase it around. I separated them for a few hours with steel mesh, but they continued when I took away the mesh. They have been separated for two days now in separated tanks. My thougt was to maybe fed up the 2nd for a couple of day and them put again.
My Q is: Will the chase continue or will it cool down? I don't want another dead aro.
They cost $50 for small ones. A 6" for $76.

Two aros one tank can be one it is just hard when they are small but they will eventuly mature and there wont be any problems but ya spread the agresion

Couple of years back I got 2 silvers at 3-3.5" and they fought. I tried numerous different methods(you name it, most likely I tried it) over a 5 month time period and was never able to get them to co-exsist. I eventually had to sell one.

One year later I adopted another silver and it was able to live together fine with the silver I had kept. I also had a failed attempt of keeping the silver aro with a black aro. Seems keeping a pair of silvers will only work about half the time.
