Just curious as to jack D owners as to how territorial and agressive yours is?
Reason being, Is I would like to add one to a community setup, but don't want him to harress everyone else thats of same or small size. some of them I couldn't care less about, free feeders I guess (neons, etc)...

how big a tank is it? and how big of a jd are u talkin about? Also what else is in the tank? Jacks are (cichlid) community fish, they'll kill neons, n feeders, possibly eat them.

The bigger tank you have the less territorial your JD will be.. these fish are way different depending on their personality... and what you have with it...

In my experience, JD temperament really varies. As with all cichlids, they will be aggressive to other cichlids or whatever poses a threat to them or their territory. My large JD lives with 15-16 goldfish and a pleco and is extremely peaceful in a 75g, but this is probably one of if not the only JD in the world that is so peaceful; but when put with other cichlids he really shows them who's boss. My small JD (see avatar) ripped a goldfish apart today and eventually ate the whole thing (brutally tortured it in the process).

its a proposed idea. It would either go into a 180, or 240... and yes I already use neons as feeders from time to time ;)
