I have a 5" Nic, 3" Geo, 3" Flagtail, in my 55. I am growing them out for a larger tank.

Last night i introduced a Orange Shoulder Severum about the same size as the Nic. The Nic has gotten real territorial with the Sev. I have never had problems with him before when I had 2x 4" african peacocks in there.

Any thoughts? I am thinking about going and possibly buying a couple Tiger Barbs to throw off the Nic a little. Any ideas?

tiger barbs may help. sometimes, two certain fish just don't get along.

When you add new fish to an established aquarium it's always best to move it all around at the same time. That way any territory that has been established will be removed and all the fish can go through a (hopefully) short pecking order, thus fighting will be to an extent avoided.. If you think about it, all your fish are quite happy and secure in their home and then it's all disrupted by a new comer..
And it's red neck (rotkeil) by the way, not meaning to be rude..

Nice choice of fish though dude....

I think i am going to try that. I left the lights off to keep the aggression at bat for now. When i get home i'll move everything around.

There will come a point where the tables will turn. Payback is a ..... and sevs get BIG! :nono: Once the sev stands up to the nic and realizes that s/he can hang with it, things will change... Quickly!

Just keep an eye on them, make sure every ones still eating.

Sevs come in 2 varieties 1. Soft as butter or 2. Hard as Yorkshire men :D (one for the brits there).

Worst comes to worst, divide the tank, give them a rest for a week, then let them try again. Dominance will go to one fish (most likely the Nic in my eyes, unless you've got a super aggro sev)

Best of luck.
Lets see some piccys
