I have a Black Tiger Oscar, about 14" and about 5 years old. He's been in his own tank for 3 years or so, with tiger barbs as snacks . Within the past year he upgraded to a 125. My question is...

Can I safely introduce tankmates?

I was thinking only a single catfish.
