ok I have a supposed gt and I was wanting someone to help me out here ive read blue acaras don't have orange around their fins?? Is this true my fish has a vertical line under his eye going all the way down I can't think I've ever seen this on a gt which I might have I'm not looking at a pic right now so yea but I can remember seing this on a acara I've also read that it's very hard to tell on a juvie which he is can anyone tell a little on the differences of the two

the vertical black line is always visible on acaras IME and only visible on a GT when its angry (think of it as warpaint its how i remember).
acaras have vertical stripes running the length of their bodies even when contented. GT's only have a dark spot about halfway along their body and a single vertical line cuts through this when they are stressed (again warpaint).
if you want to be sure then pics are a must.
The Blue Acara will have a Tear drop or black line running vertically directly under the eye...........the Green terrors tear drop is located next to the eye towards the tail side not directly under the middle of the eye.
send the pics to you email account from a your cellphone and then upload them to photobucket.........blue acara has a more rounder face and a Green terror has a more pointy snout.......
