Is is possible to keep small number of cichlids in a tank without having them fighting all day? I have 5 cichlids but that one and only african cichlid keeps picking fight with the rest in a 55g tank. Anyone?

thats what africans do best. need a big tank with a lot of them and there will not be a problem. small tanks are not good at all for cichlids. nothing less than a 75 gallon
i beg to differ. a 55 is fine.
what other cichlids do you have, and you said you only have 1 african?

One of them with black and white stripes pattern quite similar to frontosa,but its not.One is electric blue, one is orange with bloodshot eyes and one with patches that looks like a mini peacock bass lol.
if you got an electric blue johani or whatever have fun.I had one run my 125 with fronts and other large guys.He was a freaking punk.Lets just say i took him out and the fronts all stopped hiding all the time.

have all its teeth and fins surgicaly removed,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,get another tank for him,,,,,,i dont know but they can be major punks.
