I looked all over youtube for the good version of Long Way to The Top with bagpipers on a flatbed cruising Sydney.
I think it's been taken down.
I liked it well enough to make a 24 min extendo version of the music on CD.
Drove my friends batty.
But our pressing issue is aquarium gear. All my old AC gear (Flourescents, syncronous AC pumps, powerheads) vs the new low-voltage DC gear. Every one of my tanks and sumps has LED lighting, and only one powerhead remains. AC pumps are being replaced with DC pmps.
Tesla is losing ground (LOL) and Edison is charging ahead!

You might be forgiven since you aren't from around here but I wouldn't be taking the chance if I were you .
To answer your question I think tesla is the man, he seemed to be able to come up with concepts and theories most people couldn't even begin to imagine.
Now solar power is getting more popular here DC is taking off but all the mains electricity is still AC and all appliances are AC, you need to buy an expensive inverter to use direct DC .All rooftop solar panels are fed through an inverter to convert the DC to AC for consumption in the house.
I have DC pumps (and AC pumps), plus some big ac/dc air pumps which are very handy in power outages. Next I'd like to get some dc wave makers. But one thing I haven't found locally or seen online are dc powerhead pumps/filters like these styles:
