Today I place these two next to each other. There both about 8". I believe the male is a Red Monkey and the female is a Red Texas. Lets see how this goes. If you think the are a different breed let me know.
Male isn't like any red monkey I've seen in the past and hard to come by these days. I'd say it's a fader kamfa. Do you know what his parents are? Hope he's fertile. Hope he's fertile.
Check the youtube channel. The female laid eggs, but I was not home when it occurred and all filters were on....Removed the divider but the male was beating up the female so I put it back and turned the bowl; took off filters. I guess I'll find out in a day or so . You can see all the scales on the ground

As more and more of the eggs began to turn white my hopes faded... I actually gave up on it, but left it as is... Today when I checked it in the evening at a glance I thought it was all over....Then I took a very very close look and there they were 4 FRY wiggling!!! Now I know my Male Flowerhorn(whatever breed he is) is FERTILE and so is the female(a given). Next time I will be home to release them together
