I've been Using Test strips by API and just used a Nutrafin Liquid Test Kit for
my Nitrates.
These are the results:

API 20ppm
Nutrifin 5ppm

I'm assuming the liquid is more accurate.

Can everyone list which test kits they feel are the most accurate along with the Brand?

i like useing test strips but the liqued seem to get a better reading, so i use both, strips for random test and if i see a problem i use liqued to see how big a problem i have

Iv'e never used the test strips, I have never heard anything good about them.

I bought a (100) count of strips about a year ago. They are next to worthless. I say next because w/o them I have to taste the water and I'm only good at identifying pH that way. I use the strips just about everytime I get my hands wet so I'll use em up, but I keep my records and make my decisions based on liquid tests.

same here i've never heard anything good about the strips, and have never had anything go wrong with the liquid, its the way to go i rekcon!

I use the liquid. Testing nitrate is really annoying though, because it takes about 6-7 minutes, due to the instructions including more than a minute of shaking and 5 minutes of waiting.

lol lazy asses! liquid is alot better and its fun! i test nitrate and ammonia weekly and ph monthly now because i know what its going to say.... :D
