I am running Wet/Drys on all my tank in combination with Powerheads, Skimmers, airstones, etc.

Was wondering this AM what my actual O2 levels were and if I needed to increase anywhere, but I have never tested for O2 levels.

Anyone ever tested for it, worth the time?

Interesting question...

I wonder if you can accurately gauge 02 levels based purely on the observation of your fish behavior? (fresh water)

Any thoughts?

I have tested in salt but never in fresh. I would like to hear some others thoughts.

in fresh water i dont think its necesary... you could tell by the gasping of fish... or fish constantly at surface...... as long as u have good surface agitation or live plants you should be alright

If you have a wet/dry you're fine. You can get much more gas exchange than that!

I just tested O2 on three of my freshwater tanks. No the fish are not going to show gasping for air before they die. They will look sedated but faster breathing then just flip up side down all of a sudden.....then death.

Can you share the test results?

All 8 ppm under 80 degree. The water effluent from the denitrator is 5 ppm.

My copper is fine. Now I am going to test iron.

I don't want to get screwed by my water company whenever they decided to switch main water supply to resevior supply.
