i just got the 5 gymnogeophagus quilero i ordered in they are around 1" and my 12 lemon tetras seem to be quite aggresive towards these lil guys who mind there own buisness does anyone have any advice do i need more qymnos

give it a few days, i dont see those geos not being able to defend themselves once they get settled in. Also tetras probably wont be able to do too much damage. if worst comes to worst, scrap the tetras, eartheaters are much more fun

ill try and get pics posted soon mine are from wet spot aqautics, off of aquabid.com they were $7.00 a piece $15 dollars to ship and there eating right away all i know so far is they require a cool down period for a few months and other than that they are like any other geo just smaller as there gymnogeophagus

yeh some tetra's are not good to keep with geo's as they will nip at the fins.

:iagree:

I had a similar problem with rummy-noses and blue rams. After a day or two the rams started to nip back and the problem went away with no damage done.

I got 15 lemons and 12 rummys in with my x10 1" geo tapajos. The tetras have only been in with the geos for a day. But there has been no nipping of any kind. You should be good after a day or two. put a pic up are yours this size?

I had a schoo; of 40+ black neons and 15 or so red eye tetras with my tapajos Oheads and everything was dandy.... A really great zenlike combination.
