As far as I know...Tetra does not make canister filters...I sell tetra brand products, and have never seen them. They do not even have them on thier web site...

If you want a good canister filter...Here are some you could look into...
1.EHEIM
2.RENA - FILSTAR
3.HYDOR - PRIME 30 (biggest one they have)

I listed them in order of how good they are, if you want top of the line, go with #1...and so on...just remember, you get what you pay for....

Ive never seen a tetra brand Canister filter apart from the small "in-tank" ones. There powerfilters are great though, an as said above those are good canister filters.

The tetra cannister filters are relatively new in the market, so i doubt people can tell you how reliable it is or anything like that. http://www.tetra-jp.com/expower/ I dont own one, but i heard they were quite good in terms of features and pricing. Quite a bargain in my opinion if you are comparing to eheim.

Well it is nice of him to show people the wedsite.. I think the model look cool.. and for the Tetra 90 come with 4 section.. the price is also alot better then other. Look very class. Guess I am lucky to be in a country where can get alot of items... but the Tetra 120 is still not out in our market yet...

personally, i dont think looks matter when it comes to filtration since it is hiding in your stand. i would get something that looks ugly but has great gph and capable of holding plenty of media.

i have 2 xp3s and i love it.

go with xp3's therrrrrre great! * like tony the tiger*

I have a confession to make....

I have never used a canister filter... EVER! I've only used powerfilters/overhangfilters and in-tank filters for turtles. Oh, and I've used the barrell-style in-pond filters in a koi pond.

Frankly, I'm a little scared of the whole concept of water leaving through tenuous tubes and into a concealed box. The proabability of error (e.g. draining your tank while you're not home to catch it) I find terrifying. They also are a much higher investment and if I can never get it to work for me the way it should, that's a lot of money down the drai -- not to mention frustration. I worry too that I wouldn't know what attachments, pieces, and parts to buy, and would end up trying to rig something up that woudn't really work.

I'm such a wuss.
