so in my 58 gallon i have lemon tetras black neons and gymnogeophagus growouts. i have two ac110 filtering water qaulity is 0 ammonia 0 nitrite and 10 ppm nitrate. i do weekly 10 to 25% water changes. over the last month and a half of being cycled and running ive lost three off my lemon tetras mysteriously are they just a week strain of fish am i doing something wrong

hmmmm idk much about them maybe there just a weak strain i thought id lose my black neons first if any i hope nothin happens to my gymnos

I can't help but if it makes you feel better I can't seem to keep neons or cardinals alive for more than a few hours, it sucks because my dream tanks is planted with 1000 tetras, peeps think I'm joking when I say this

thats cool i love tetras for schooling activity mine just seem to die off one at a time maybe one every few weeks i just dont understand why

Lemon Tetras arent very hardy, not very hardy at all. But from personal experience i have had to wait a month at a time to add a small group of Tetras, Or, it could be just the back end of the cycle process, happened to me, my nitrite risen ever so slightly, lost a few Neon Tetras. My remedy would be not to buy anymore fish for a while, monotor any deaths if there are any, do regular water changes and test it every so often. If you want to re-populate then only buy a few fish at a time.

-Hope it helps.

If your tank readings are good for Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate and your still loosing fish I would look at your water supply or perhaps what your feeding them. What do you feed them and how often? And how do you perform a water change and what do you use as a dechlorinator? Also look up your water specs at this site:

i feed omega one super color flakes and omega one super color cichlid pelets. i perform weekly 10 to 25%water changes dosing with prime and stability and i only feed once daily
