tetra tec t5 filter

anyone familiar with this filter?I picked up a 75 gal used and the guy threw in the filter.I tried to use it but the motor attached to the bottom fell out spilling water everywhere .the plastic clip on the motor cracked off.Id like to see how much a new motor would cost it looks like a cool filter 4 media slots,wet dry tidal action biofilter,and a built in heater.I cant find any info on the net about this filter,tetra doesnt seem to have a website and i cant find any parts or info online.If i cant get a new motor,I thought i might try to glue the motor in with some pvc cement.Ill check back later for replies gotta go outside and split firewood for a couple hours.

i've got a tetratec 300 with the built in heater.....it sounds pretty close to what you have......with the four media slots.....its an ok filter but the intake tube doesnt go down very far so i dont feel that it works as well as it could....also mine is very loud especially when it flushes

I already ordered another filter for the 75 gal tank in the kitchen,the previous owner said it was loud.But I would still like to fix it to use on a 55 in my fishroom,where the noise wont be an issue.
