Hello I have a sick Tetraodon Duboisi, some stores are saying that is a tumor, but I think that it is fungus. So far I have been treating this puffer with pimafix and the infection has gone down. If anyone knows what this is from the photo please let me know. I really do hope that it is not cancer

Post ur water paramaters. What are u feeding? Try api fungus cure.

Hmmmmm... looks like your puffer must have scratched himself and the wound got infected...

I agree with Kno4te, post your water parameters and maybe try some type of fungus med at half dose first and see how he goes?

So far I have been feeding him bloodworms, yesterday was the first day that he did not eat, I did a water change on Wednesday and he did eat on that day.
My water parameters are:
Ammonia:0
Nitrite:0
Nitrate:0
pH:7.0
So far I have been trying Pimafix because it says that it is for fungus cure, but I will switch to a different medication.

I have been feeding this puffer bloodworms.
Atleast it’s not live food. Try to get to it some other food with nutrition. It’ll help to get it better. Not sure about the tumor thing but looks fuzzy enough to be fungus.

Appreciate the help Fat Homer Fat Homer .

Thank you both for the help, is Pimafix also a fungus cure as it says that on label?
Pimafix won’t do anything for fungus.

Pimafix and Melafix can work but sometimes if the infection is bad might be an idea to use something a little stronger...

But as always keep an eye on your puffer when using meds since being scaless they can had bad reactions more easily..,

Ok I will try something stronger, I know seachem has something called parapro which will help with fungal infections, has anyone tried that product?
