I'm planning a CA/SA 125 gallon tank to be set up in the next couple months and will be stocking it with the following:

Two severums (super red and notatus)
6-8 geophagus sp. orange head
1 EBJD

I also want to include a large school of tetras in the tank. How many tetras could be added to this tank without overstocking it? I am thinking of getting a few different species of tetras to add some variety/color and possibly stocking it with approx. 10 of each species. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which tetras could be added with this stock and how many total? Which tetras do you like the most?

I don't know if I'd do the EBJD with tetra's. They'd probably be eaten. I have lemon tetras in my geo tank and they're doing great. They are common, cheap and have great color when they mature. I have about 25 in my 75gal. and it looks pretty good. Good luck.

U cld do it but u wld constantly need to restock them

someone else on here has his EBJD with tetra's.

Maybe buenos aires tetras or congo tetras. They are at least larger than your normal tetra so they may have enough size to avoid the ebjd. Or you could do a school of giant danios or rainbows for some movement.

I have 9 Buenos Aires Tetras in with my GT & JD with no trouble. They are fast and get big enough to not be viewed as food. EBJD's are generally pretty mellow as far as JDs go. If you want Tetras try them, not expensive and pretty good looking.
