i have a 75g tank with ~15 geophagus, a red lipped botia, and a 13" tt eel.

i want to know if i can safely keep a large school of 30+ black neon tetras in this setup?

i dont see the geos eating them, but the eel makes me alittle nervous.

just for grins, heres my geo list.

2 a. heckelii
2 g. abalios
2 g. altifrons
2 g. red head tapajos
2 g. brachybrancus
2 s. jurupari
1 s. lecousticta.

please lmk your thoughts.

me eel ate some of my tetreas you could do tetras just get big ones

Buy a small group of 5 and try it out. The only way you'll know for sure. I keep a school of serpae tetras in my 450g, I loose about one a week. Acceptable lose as far as I'm concerned, in order to have the look.

I can tell you that my old Tire Track would destroy those tetras.

You mean your son's old tire track eel don't you?:naughty:

i bought 30 orange von rio tetras, they are roughly .75"tl

i havent put them in the tank.

i will say however, i have 2 small red head tapajos geos, one is ~1.25"tl the other is ~1.5"tl. they dont bother them.

but i dont want to risk 30 tetras.

any input is welcome.
