TetraTec PF500

Yes... I have a couple of these old, monster-sized sized filters/heater units. ...and unlike most people, I actually like the things... noise and all.

But here's my problem. I need new impellers... and I've had no luck finding them.

Does anyone know of a way to get these?

Is there another unit's impeller that would work?

Being tetra filters I would just go to petSmart and pick up a tetra filter and see if the impeller matches. Spent a little time Googling it, no results for parts.

I have TetraTec 300 & 500s. I also have some AquaClear 110s. The TectaTec 500 is better than the AC110.

I would try ThatFishPlace in Lancaster, PA. They sell TetraTec filters and have a large parts department (it's like going to PepBoys). Just make sure you talk to the parts department folks and not a sales associate who will only check shelf stock on the floor.
