There seems to be some confusion over this, so I was wondering what sizes the rest of you are seeing with your teugelsis. I'll start: purchased mine last April at 7"... now about 14".

BeBlondie's post says they dont grow terribly big but there was one in BAS and that was over 16inch supposadly.

Good to know. My teugelsi is by far my favorite fish-- not only looks really cool, but extremely active, especially for a bichir. My ornate, which also looks really cool, has been known to go for days without any apparent movement whatsoever.
