Texae Holey rock question

I was wondering if i could grow green algea on texas holey rock and make it as dark as algead lace rock. I got a fixture that grows good algea.

you can grow green algae anywhere... if you cant grow algae, then you have bigger issues lol

I want it to look like these rocks there are river rocks i grew algea on in my tank

Mine would always get a bit of a green on them but never that much.... Why not just get the river rock? It might just be something like sand stone and that stuff is cheap!

I got a peace of holey rock i wanted to try growing algae on like this but dont want to try if its not gona grow dark

These rocks got this algae within 2 months after i got my new t5ho fixture 3ft 4 bulb on my 55g has 2x 10,000k bulbs ans 2x blue bulbs
