i have one 12" texas and a 10" butterkoferi, i am about to get a 18" silver arro. is it a good idea to put them in the same tank?

I think risky at best. Have you ever tried to add any other fish with the texas and butti? Could be ok if you have a huge tank.

but arro is 18" I guess he can overpower the butt.

Butti's are the nastiest fish I've ever had,I can tell you that. But I did keep two large ones with my 2ft. silver and they never bothered him. They did however kill quite a few african's though.

I would say it's gonna be risky, both the texas and the butti can be mean as hell and rip that aro apart reguardless of how big it is.. I personally wouldn't risk it unless you have another tank to drop the aro in if he starts getting beat up.

i also has one 3" yellow african and one jewel + 2 black convicts with the butt and texas. the texas is boss, he is more than twice as big as the butt. i also have a 6' bala shark. it has been two months and no casualties. The times it did not work out is when I put in a 6" midas, it got beat up by the butt. the other time I put in a 12" oscar the texas kept harrasing him so I ended up geting both out. I am rehoming texas so there will be only the 18" arro with the 10" butt and those small guys.
