why make another post to link to your orignal post?? dont see the point in that..

Hahah, this coming from a person who has over 4000 post with the majority of them worthless about how you have no money and live at home. The breeding section doesn't get as much attention. I have a pair of Texas, which belong in this forum. Just trying to get some help.

The best thing to do is leave them alone. They will take care of the fry. Are there any tankmates that could eat the fry? That would be a concern. Also keep the fry from being sucked into the intake by using a sponge if you can. The fry should be fine with the parents. Don't worry about it. Oh, I didn't know that you sold the Midas. I saw that on your other thread. He was a big boy.

thanks gruff master. Yea, I sold that Midas. Absolutely could not turn down the offer and the new owner was happier than a pig in poop! I still have eggs. I'm getting a 55g tonight or tomorrow night to put 2 jacks in that are currently in with the Texas. The parents are doing a great job on keeping the jacks away but there are currently no major issues. The jacks seem to know what they're doing (they were also supposed to be a pair but have not bred for me). Everything is well.

Im sure the JDs will breed once they have their own tank. I had a pair that bred like rabbits, better yet like Convicts. If your Tex eggs don't hatch this time around, the next batch will probably produce some fry. Sometimes having a few fast dithers helps a pair to bond and lay more eggs too.

LOL... Don't feel bad. Dithers don't last long in my CA/SA tanks either. That was a good deal at Petsmart for the SD. I keep hoping they'll do the same deal for Clown Loaches. I doubt it. Post pics if those eggs hatch.
