So my 3.5" female Texas/Carpintis is being a real bully to the smaller festae (they vary from 1.5" to 3") she is constantly chasing them around and occasionally biting them. She's been in the tank for about a month now and I've got no losses so far but I've noticed she gets more vicious by the day, some of them have shredded fins that eventually heal but I think her bullying might interfere with their growth, and obviously they're my priority.

My only concern is that the festae might kill each other if she's not there to keep em distracted, the way I see it is that even though she's mean at least she's helping spread out their aggression. What would you do? Leave her in there or put her in the pond with a 5" male Salvini.

Of course if I put her in the pond she would come back to the tank when the festae are big enough to defend themselves. She's part of my planned stock (1 female salvini, 1 female festae, 1 female carpintis + dithers)

i need to build myself a pond so all the unwanted fish in my tank can go in there lol.
