Texas cichlid and silver dollars

Can a 2 year old texas cichlid and adult silver dollars be kept in the same tank together?

Yeah it might work just keep an eye out and a extra tank for agression.

Thats an aggressive fish to put it with silver dollars. You might be ok if you have a school of dollars.

Depends on the temperament of your Texas. I have a school of 13 tetras in with my 18month old big male Texas and he doesn't care much about them as they are larger than his big mouth. Silver dollars are even bigger and I think would work well, unless you have a really aggressive Texas.

Schools of them only... they fair better in numbers.

in a school they stand a better chance,they are usually fast and tough.it will depend on your fishes personality.some fish will not bother non-cichlid types,others bother only fish they are under a certain size

Tank size? I think if your tank is 100G+ it should be ok, but you never know. Some Texas are nasty.
