so i transfer my 9 in texas into a 30 gal with another female. it has been breathing hard ever since. he never lets up and is always breathing hard. it has been about two days. question is will he ever acclimate and will the breathing get better or wont it. i just had to take out anther flowerhorn which died and it was breathing hard too. i learned from that fish that it did not get better and eventually died.

ok first of all what's the Ph ammonia , nitrite, and nitrate. Showing when you test the water?

established tank everything is good, i've had many fish in this tank. it's sort of my quarantine hospital tank.

You said A Fh died. Are these new fish? Do you feed live food?
Could someone have contaminated the tankis the temp were it should be

i have the temp high..and added salt. the FH started getting the symptoms from my main tank, then i transferred him to the hospital tank where he died in about a weeks time. i did a big water change before adding the two texas'..i don't feed live foods. the texas was a little stressed out in my main tank because he was getting chased by other larger fish. basically i want to know if the fish will recuperate and get better. the fish is somewhat new and i'm thinking now that the fish may have had something when i got him.

What's high ? With o2 problems the higher the less o2.
For sick fish 78deg is best no more than 80 for sure.
Water holds less oxygen at hi temps. Make the top of the water move like a fast moving creek.
Water takes in oxygen at the top.
The more the top of the moves the better.
Especially since your fish is gasping for air at the top
