Ok I just got back from my LFS and I saw the first Texas cichlids I've seen here so far and they were about 2" at $2.99 so I had to get one, I have the proper tank and everything for it I'm just wondering what to expect from this fish, Is it one of those fish that turn into killer at 5" or 6"? Or is it just going to be slaughtered by my Jag before I have time to get a 125g for the Jag?

Jag Food. No doubt about it. Unless you can separate the Texas from the Jag... consider it bait.

my texas was a fiesty lil fish, seriousely aggressive. i had to get rid of it. it was only 4"

It all depends. What size is the tank? what size is the Jag? Are they the same sex? Female jags are less agressive than males, it will come down to they're individual disposition among other things such as tank size, sex and aggresion level. There is no way to answer your question in any definative way.

It's a 55g and the Jag is 3" bigger plus it's a female, Anyway I just decided I needed to buff up this little Texan before he can play with the big boys.
