for a couple weeks i been trying to breed my ebjd with my female jd but its seems like my small texas trying to spawn with her , i have 2 texas about 3.5 inch they look just alike but last nite the one who follows my female jd gills plate turnt black is that a sign of he trying to spawn?

can you get a pic? usually breeding colors for these guys is the front half almost white while the back half turns black... are these cyanos or carpinte that you have?
never heard of a diesease or of natural colors. could be a strange mutation. I would look that up
