I’m considering getting a Texas Cichlid. I notice in looking at a lot of pictures that some have more of a longer, streamlined body, while others seem to get more of a taller/rounder appearance. Are there any difference to these fish in seeing?

I've read here that the female is more streamlined than the male if I remember correctly.

Males are generally taller bodied than females. Young immature males may look like females also but as they mature and hit around 8-10 inches they’ll get taller as opposed to longer and would sport a slight nuchal hump.
