Was fairly sure this was a female Cyano when I first got her(?). Now I'm not so sure. What do you think?

(S)he is about 5" now and a real PITA, but has an awesome personality. She's in timeout for the moment as she had no tolerance for a few new tankmates. Hopefully she can go back into the community soon.

I don't know what a flowerhorn is but it looks like a jack dempsey fish.

Looks like she is in breeding dress, what males are in the tank? I can see why you think it could be either, I'm sticking with Carpintis for now.

Not in breeding dress - hate dress. ;) My female Salvini was taunting her from the other side of the divider. They dislike each other strongly. I finally took the *Carpinte out and put her in another tank to cool off. I think Carpintis also.

The fish is not a "texas" H. cyanguttatus. It is H. Carpinte.

OK thanks for confirming. I've seen your vids on YT and I trust you know what you're talking about. :D

I won't ask if it's a Vontehillo or anything like that. ;) H Carpinte it is.
