Purchased as a Texas Cichlid. Can anyone ID which? And if you can tell the sex? It’s only 2” TL

There really is only 1 species of Texas cichlid, Herichthys cyanoguttatus, but........
in many case many of the genus Herichthys are erroneous called Texas cichlids
Below Herichthys carpintus probably about the same size as the one in the pics
The ones in the middle and upper left are males, others on the periphery are females.
Here's one about half grown
Below Herichthys tamasopoensus adults
Below a young tamasopoensus

Fins and critters has some nice Carpintis. I was really hoping you were going to tell me a shop close to NJ. As your Carpintis ages those teals, blues, greens, and sometimes golds will intensify. It’s the one species of CA that I always come back to owning. I have a beautiful 3.5 inch male I’m currently raising. I bred them about 12 years ago and want to bred them again now. Enjoy watching his/her colors pop. Awesome fish.
