This guy is growing...about 5 inches now...give or take. Not sure of the sex, though...any experts out there? Thanks!

Great looking fish, Its a male. Where did you get him from?
Honestly these days dorsal spot or not it's not 100% it's a male. You have to see if he mates with a known female vent him or if it's a female lays eggs or tube dropped. I've seen Texas look like females with dorsal spot but male and vice versa.

I can't tell - I have a similar question myself. What I do know if you have a fine specimen regardless!

Hey thanks...I got him from a local fish store here in Boise, Idaho...they had about 8 of them which they had gotten from a local breeder. I picked out one I thought might be a male. Lol
