hi,
was just wondering if the texas cichlid arnd 18-20 cm can handle 17-22c (62-71F) temperature, i got a cold water tank with other native aussie fish and cichild that i want to try put him in, only in the morning its around 17-19c (62f) than after 3-4hourd it warms up, was just wondering if it can handle the temperature
thanks

I would think 62 would be ok as the lower end, in the wild they live in water taht gets down to about 55, as they are the northern most species of naturaly occering cichlid. In aquariums we typicly keep them at higher temps however they can do well between 60 and 75 degrees. It will most likly grow a little slower and be less agrresive at lower temps.

can probably handle it . . . may not like it much, but they are tough fish . . .
