Texas Cichlid

Can anyone tell me what kind of texas cichlid this is, and the sex? He/she is about 6 inches long. thanks!

Green Texas or Carpintis Cichlid. Looks like a male to me.

Nice pearly green Texas and I would guess female.

That is a green texas.
Or it might be a parrot/ green texas... not sure

yeah it is a greenspot texas,you can tell it is a female <if it were a male at six inches long it would have darker black spots on sides and base of its tail<and his throat would be darker.

The black spot on the dorsal fin indicates that it is a female. Males lack this dark spot

Female was my first guess too. Great looking fish though!

In my experience its harder to find girl cichlids anyway, so you should feel quite lucky.
the amount of females ive brought that turned out to be subdominant males......
