I've seen some pretty Texas' on here. But I'm yet to see one that looks like one of mine boughjt under the name Green Texas.

Heres what I think I know-

Cyanoguttatus or Rio grande Perch: White-ish gold body with black spots

Cyanoguttus Red: Hybrid with red spots w/ yellow white speckles

Carpinte Green or Pearlscale: Green spots

Carpinte escondido: Those gorgeous Blue spotted Texas cichlids

That's what I think I know........PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong!

I have 2 Texas cichlids 1st ones easy -Cyanoguttatus.
Here's the Kicker.................the texas I bought as a Green texas is Olive Drap with white and pink.........what's up with that???????????????????

I just pulled'em from my indoor fish pond got him in a fry tank chillin' til his colors settle then I'll post a pic............at this point I'm totally confused as to what the heck I got.

Also pulled the Dovii from the pond MAN did he grow gonna get some shots of those wolf fangs he's grown.

Pics would really help, its impossible to give you an accurate answer without pictures, because minds work differently.

common names are worthless when dealing with these two species. pics are needed
