TEXAS cichlids?

Yeah, I was going to say the same. I could take off driving straight in any direction and not get out of the state for at least 4 hours whichever way I go... That's Texas for ya.

If you can't find one locally (which I know might be hard in Lake Jackson) I would just drive up to Houston (not that far right). You are sure to find a nice one in an LFS there. Also, Texas Cichlids have made it pretty far into the state, past the Rio Grande, so you might wanna reasearch where they are in relation to you.

alright sweet when it gets hot again ima set a perch trap see if any are near us...
we only have like sun perch and blue gill around here... and bass.. the usual for me atleast. lol

and iv been to quite alot of fish stores in houston.. they dont really carry larger fish like that.. and our lfs in angelton.. hes shady i ask him to order things for me and he says okay.. but then when all the fish come in hes like no they didnt come in.. so i dropped him

Well, I'm in Austin, and we've got them in the San Marcos River (about 25 minutes away), so when it gets warm, I was gonna see if I couldn't catch some big ones. If it's not too hard to get them shipped to you, I'll see what I can do. You would have to pay shipping though, but that's all in the future, so if you want, we can talk about it later.

alright cool thanks man just remind me... so if yall have them up there we should have them down here.? who knows il look around and set a couple of traps... but if not i def want one..
